A Bit About Me
I work Monday-Friday during school hours only. I work online and have a clinic in Wimbledon Southwest London on Wednesdays.
I am a Chartered Clinical Psychologist with the British Psychological Society (BPS) and a registered Practitioner Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council (UK).
I specialise in working with children, young people, young adults and their families.
I completed my undergraduate degree in Psychology at Newcastle University followed by a Masters at New York University and finally my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of East London.
I have over 17 years' experience of working with children, young people and adults in various settings within the NHS as well as independently.
I have been a lecturer in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) at Masters level at the Tavistock and Portman.
Therapeutic approaches I work with include cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR ), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), systemic, narrative, behavioural, solution-focused and mentalization-based therapy (MBT).
I have worked for the NHS in both mainstream and disability CAMHS services (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service).
I am fully trained to complete ADOS-2 and ADI assessments as part of an ASD assessment.
I have lived, worked and travelled overseas extensively. I speak French fluently and have a working knowledge of Spanish.
I’m a mum who is all too familiar with the challenges and complexities of family life.
