How I Can Help

Child-3.png

Being a parent/caregiver is tough and the pressures of modern life can make the challenges all the greater. Being a parent can seem exhausting and very challenging at times, especially if your child is experiencing any particular difficulties. As parents, we are exposed to constant comparisons and it can feel hard to live up to the expectations placed on us or on our children. Sometimes we may need a bit of extra support to guide us through the parenting journey. Children may also need some individual support in order to enable them to thrive. Here are some of the areas I can help you or your child/ adolescent with:

  • Parenting support

  • Anxiety

  • Phobias

  • Stress at home or at school

  • Low confidence/self esteem

  • Behavioural difficulties

  • Developmental delays or concerns

  • Support for children with concerns related to social communication or attention difficulties including Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).

  • Formal assessments of ASC or ADHD– please note that if these assessments are indicated, these are conducted in conjunction with my colleagues at  the EFFRA clinic.

Please note: It is important that all those with parental responsibility are aware of any referrals. My practice is not suited for dealing with emergencies, working with those with severe depression or anxiety, self harm or those with complex needs. If you require urgent support please contact your GP, 111 or go to A & E for further advice.
